This is a fixed-term opportunity for 18 (eighteen) months.
Lead a high-performing team delivering environmental compliance and assurance outcomes across Western Australia. As Manager Assurance, you will oversee complex and high-risk investigations, provide expert regulatory advice, manage emerging risks and stakeholder relationships, and drive consistent, risk-based decision-making to support the protection of the environment and uphold environmental legislation.
What You’ll Do In this role, you will lead a team responsible for investigating alleged breaches of environmental legislation, overseeing case management, stakeholder engagement and compliance activities. You will support workforce capability, manage compliance programs and operational risks and competing priorities, coordinate responses to high-profile enquiries, and foster a positive, high-performing team culture that delivers effective regulatory outcomes.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Significant experience resolving complex compliance and regulatory issues using sound judgement and risk-based decision-making.
- Robust stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and provide strategic advice, options and recommendations to senior leaders.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks, and contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of high-quality regulatory documentation and the ability to communicate complex issues to diverse audiences.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage people, projects and resources, balance competing priorities, and deliver outcomes aligned with organisational objectives.
