About The Role
Band 4 - base salary from $110,000 per annum (plus super) - total package to be negotiated with preferred candidate based on skills and experience

We’re looking for a Management Accountant who can turn financial data into meaningful insights, support smarter decision-making and contribute to Tasmania’s energy future.
This is more than a reporting role. You’ll partner with stakeholders across TasNetworks and its subsidiaries, translating strategy into budgets, forecasts and performance measures, while identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes.
As Part Of a Team-oriented Finance Team, You’ll
- Provide management accounting, financial analysis and commercial insights to support informed decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and management reporting.
- Analyse financial performance, trends and variances, providing clear recommendations and actions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to improve financial understanding and business performance.
- Support month-end and year-end processes, annual budgets, business planning and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and planning assumptions.
- Translate strategic priorities and Corporate Plan measures into budgets, forecasts and performance metrics.
- Support year-end financial reporting and regulatory deliverables, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
About You We’re looking for someone who is curious about the business behind the numbers and enjoys turning complex information into clear, practical insights. You will be joining a high-performing, supportive team where collaboration, fresh thinking and a good sense of humour come together to make a real impact. You’ll Ideally Have
- A degree in accounting, business or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification, or be working towards one.
- Experience using ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
- The confidence to advise, influence and communicate with non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and interdependencies.
- Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
- The initiative and confidence to work autonomously while knowing when to bring others along.
