The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Manager to join the QCE and QCIA Unit. The QCE and QCIA Unit is responsible for activities that contribute to the development, review and implementation of guidelines to support the quality assurance processes for the QCE, QCIA, Recognition and VET. The Manager leads and manages a team in delivering a diverse range of core QCAA functions linked to the QCE, QCIA, Recognised studies and VET.

What You Will Do In the Manager role, you will:

- Implement the delegation from ASQA for the registration and audit of school RTOs in Queensland.
- Provide advice on the policy directions of VET nationally and at state level and the implications for schools in delivering VET and for students completing VET as part of their senior secondary education.
- Manage the development and implementation of significant and complex projects relating to the QCE, QCIA, Recognised Studies and VET.
- Liaise with the three Queensland school sectors (Education Queensland, Queensland Catholic Education Commission and Independent Schools Queensland) on the implementation of VET in schools.
- Contribute to the national VET in Schools agenda through participation in the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Certification Authorities (ACACA) group.
- Lead the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Quality Management systems and processes as per the ASQA delegation to register and audit Queensland schools as RTOs.
- Manage appeals against registration decisions and ensure responses to complaints conform with legislated practices.
- Provide advice to Queensland schools on the implementation of VET in Schools as either an RTO or in partnerships with non-school RTOs.
- Maintain currency with relevant Acts, Regulations, Guidelines and Frameworks and provide advice on the impact of these on schools and the QCAA's functions.
- Supervise, coordinate and direct human resources for the business area.
- Develop,



implement and monitor operational plans and annual budgets for the business area.

Reporting relationships This role reports to the Director, Senior Assessment and Certification Support Branch. Up to 10 roles report directly to this role.
