Hear and Say is a Queensland wide provider of speech pathology and audiology services. We operate state-wide and support people of all ages - from newborn babies, toddlers, school-age children, and adults.

An exceptional opportunity currently exists for a suitably experienced and motivated individual to join us in the permanent part-time role of Marketing Assistant.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the purpose of the role is to support the delivery of Hear and Say’s marketing and communications activities across digital, social media, campaigns, events and organisational communications. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and wider organisation, the role helps create engaging content, coordinate marketing activities and maintain consistent brand communications across channels.

The role contributes to increasing awareness of Hear and Say, strengthening engagement with our audiences, and sharing the impact of our work to support children and families living with hearing loss.

Selection Criteria To be successful in this role you will have suitable experience in a similar role, experience preferably within a Not for Profit and/or Marketing related role. You will also possess:

Marketing & Communications Skills

· Demonstrated experience or understanding of marketing and communications, including social media, email marketing and digital content.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging and audience-appropriate content.

· Strong attention to detail and an ability to maintain brand consistency across multiple channels.

Organisation & Collaboration

· Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and competing priorities.

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.

· A proactive, reliable and flexible approach, with a willingness to support a broad range of marketing activities and projects.

Digital & Creative Capability

· Confidence using digital platforms and marketing tools, with the ability to learn recent systems quickly.

· An interest in content creation, social media, digital marketing and emerging trends.

· A creative and solutions-focused approach, with initiative to identify opportunities to improve engagement and communications.

Mandatory requirements of this role include-

- Eligibility to clear probity checks including disability worker screening and working with children check (Yellow Card / Blue Card).
- A current open driver’s license is highly desirable, as is the ability to travel to other sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media





· Support the planning and delivery of Hear and Say’s social media content across relevant platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

· Create, schedule and publish engaging content that reflects Hear and Say’s brand, values, programs, campaigns and impact.

· Monitor social media activity, respond to comments and messages where appropriate, and identify opportunities to increase engagement and reach.

Email Marketing

· Support the development, creation and distribution of regular email communications, including newsletters, campaign communications and event promotions.

· Assist with audience segmentation, database management and email scheduling to ensure communications reach the right audiences at the right time.

· Monitor email performance and maintain accurate records of results to support ongoing improvement.

Website

· Assist with maintaining and updating website content, including pages, blogs, events and campaign information.

· Support the development and publishing of engaging, accurate and accessible website content that aligns with Hear and Say’s brand and communications objectives.

· Monitor website content and identify opportunities to improve the user experience, engagement and visibility of Hear and Say’s programs and services.

Events

· Support the planning, promotion and delivery of Hear and Say events, campaigns and community activities.

· Assist with event communications, promotional materials, registrations, logistics and post-event follow-up.

· Capture and coordinate content from events, including photography, video and stories, for use across Hear and Say’s marketing channels.

Communications

· Support the development of a range of marketing and communications materials, including social media content, EDMs, website content, staff newsletters, brochures, presentations and other collateral.

· Assist with content creation, proofreading and editing to ensure communications are accurate, engaging, consistent and aligned with Hear and Say’s brand.

· Work collaboratively with teams across Hear and Say to gather stories, information and content that showcase the organisation’s impact.

General Administration





· Provide administrative support to the Marketing Manager and wider team, including maintaining content calendars, marketing schedules, databases, files and records.

· Assist with coordinating marketing requests, approvals, suppliers and external stakeholders as required.

· Maintain organised and accurate marketing assets, templates and resources.

· Support the Marketing Manager and wider team with reporting, data collection and general projects as required.

Relationships & Collaboration

· Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues across Hear and Say to support coordinated and effective marketing and communications.

· Work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure marketing activities are delivered professionally, accurately and on time.

Quality, Compliance & Brand

· Ensure all marketing and communications activities are consistent with Hear and Say’s brand guidelines, values and tone of voice.

· Handle information appropriately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with Hear and Say’s policies, privacy requirements and relevant legislation.

· Ensure marketing content is accurate, accessible, inclusive and appropriate for Hear and Say’s audiences.

Continuous Improvement

· Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities and identify opportunities for improvement.

· Stay up to date with relevant marketing, social media, digital and communications trends and best practice.

· Contribute ideas and new approaches to help Hear and Say strengthen audience engagement and increase awareness of its work.
