Role Description The Mechanical Fitter will work on-site in the Greater Perth Area in a full time capacity, assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components and systems used in automation solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, fitting and aligning mechanical parts, performing mechanical repairs, and conducting routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety. The role involves collaborating with engineers and automation specialists during build, test, and commissioning phases of robotic and industrial equipment.

The Mechanical

Fitter will troubleshoot mechanical issues,



replace or refurbish parts as needed, and document maintenance activities in line with internal standards. The position also requires adherence to workplace health and safety procedures and participation in continuous improvement initiatives on the workshop floor and at client sites.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical fitting skills, including assembly, installation, alignment, and maintenance of industrial machinery and automation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, with sound use of hand and power tools.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment, including fault finding and repair in industrial environments.
- Knowledge of industrial automation systems and collaboration with electrical, controls, or robotics teams during commissioning.
- Commitment to safe work practices, including familiarity with relevant safety standards, risk assessments, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in Mechanical Fitting or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams, with reliable time management and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in workshop and on-site conditions, including occasional work in harsh or remote industrial environments.
- Experience in process or industrial automation projects and exposure to client-facing work is beneficial.
