The Nurse Manager role provides coordination and guidance in relation to nursing management practises by enabling and supporting operational and strategic organisational/divisional goals; working in collaboration with other Grade 7’s supporting the staffing unit and the broader CHQ Operations Centre in overall efficient and effective management, benchmarking, maintaining standards and optimising patient/program outcomes.

About The Team The Patient Flow and Safety Unit (PFSU) within QCH provides children's health services for children and young people from birth to 16 years of age and up to 18 years for established paediatric patients.

The PFSU coordinates the patient journey from admission to discharge, ensuring the wards are appropriately resourced to care for the inpatient cohort. It facilitates clinically appropriate placement of patients within acceptable timeframes, while continuing to support the provision of health services for children and families as close to their home as possible through outreach and telehealth services. The Unit also provides coordination of care for children where their condition exceeds the capability of their local hospital and health service.

About The Role In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values .

You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
