First Class Energy is a growing Australian energy solutions company specialising in Solar, Battery Storage, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps, helping households reduce their energy costs through smarter, more efficient technology and available government incentives. We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and commercially minded Operations Manager to join our team at our Prestons, NSW office.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit back and simply manage reports.

We need someone who is quick on their feet, solutions-focused and comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once.

Ideally, you will come from the Solar, Battery, Air Conditioning, Heat Pump or broader renewable energy/home services industry and understand what it takes to move a job smoothly from sale through to installation and completion.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the NSW business and work closely with our sales, administration, installation and management teams.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing the operational workflow from sale through to installation and job completion
- Coordinating installation schedules across Solar, Batteries, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps
- Managing internal administration and operations staff
- Coordinating installers, subcontractors, electricians and other trades
- Ensuring jobs are scheduled efficiently and installations are completed within expected timeframes
- Monitoring job pipelines and identifying delays or bottlenecks before they become problems
- Ensuring documentation and job requirements are completed correctly prior to installation
- Managing escalated customer issues and finding practical, fast solutions




- Working closely with the sales team to ensure sold jobs are operationally ready
- Monitoring stock, equipment and installation requirements
- Liaising with suppliers and external partners when required
- Helping maintain compliance, quality control and operational processes
- Monitoring installer performance, job quality and customer experience
- Developing and improving systems, procedures and workflows as the company grows
- Providing management with regular reporting on installations, outstanding jobs, operational issues and team performance

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who takes ownership. You should be the type of person who sees a problem and immediately starts working out how to solve it.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience in operations, installation coordination or project management
- Strong preference for experience within Solar, Batteries, Air Conditioning, Heat Pumps, Electrical, HVAC or a similar trade/service industry
- Experience managing multiple installations or projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of scheduling and coordinating trades
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
- The ability to remain calm and make decisions when things don't go according to plan
- Strong communication skills with customers, installers, salespeople and management
- Experience managing or supervising staff
- Good computer and CRM skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A genuine ability to think on your feet and get things done

Knowledge of renewable energy rebates, certificates,



installation compliance or government energy-efficiency programs would be highly regarded.
