About The School

Responsibilities
- Deliver individual cello tuition across all year levels
- Prepare students for solo performances and examinations (where appropriate)
- Complete student reports and maintain accurate records
- Implement appropriate assessment practices
- Maintain high standards in lesson preparation, teaching, and student engagement
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment within the teaching studio
- Attend meetings and professional learning as required
- Develop and deliver Cello programs across Junior, Middle and Senior levels
- Conduct ensembles and orchestras as required
- Assist in preparing students for key performances
Selection Criteria
- Relevant qualifications in Music Performance (Cello) or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated understanding of effective instrumental teaching practices
- Experience in assessment and student progress reporting
- Ability to work collaboratively within a performing arts team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Sound ICT skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning
- Proven initiative and contribution to school programs
Requirements
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Current National Police Check (within 12 months)
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Relevant music qualifications or equivalent professional experience
- Full working rights in Australia
