Brunetti Classico, an iconic Melbourne brand with a reputation for being a local celebration of Italian Lifestyle is seeking a passionate, dedicated and experienced Pastry Chef, who has a ''hands on'' approach to lead our highly dedicated and skilled team in our morning Danish department.
The right candidate will demonstrate product knowledge as well as culinary functions with special emphasis on consistency, quality, presentation and authenticity. As stated, this role will be a full-time, on-site position, with an annualized salary of $79,500.
Successful candidates will demonstrate
- Proven experience in a similar role and/or relevant qualifications
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and legislative food safety standards
- Proven history of activities that achieve individual, team and business objectives and customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage budget of both costs and resources, while maintaining a high quality levels
- A progressive and enthusiastic attitude to hard work in a dynamic setting
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience cooking authentic Italian danishes and pastry, specifically laminating dough and filing pastries
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Word, Excel
- Ability to manage a team
- Current Food Safety Certification
