Full-time | Initial 6-month contract | Immediate start

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team for an initial six-month full-time contract, providing additional support following the implementation of our new payroll and time & attendance systems.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who can hit the ground running and work alongside our existing Payroll and People & Culture teams as we transition into business-as-usual operations with our new system.

Experience using UKG Ready and/or Payroll Metrics is highly desirable, with particular value placed on candidates who understand payroll processing within a newly implemented system environment.

The role

Working as part of our existing payroll team, you will provide hands-on support across end-to-end payroll processing while helping us embed our new systems and processes.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Supporting accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing
- Working within UKG Ready and Payroll Metrics to process and validate payroll data
- Reviewing timesheets, allowances, overtime, leave and other payroll inputs
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and system-related issues
- Completing payroll reconciliations, checks and data validation
- Responding to employee and manager payroll enquiries
- Supporting the team through the post-implementation stabilisation period
- Identifying system or process issues and assisting with practical solutions
- Supporting the development and refinement of payroll processes and documentation




- Working collaboratively with Payroll, People & Culture and operational teams to ensure a positive employee experience

About You We are looking for someone who is confident working in a busy payroll workplace and can quickly become a trusted member of the team. Ideally, You Will Bring

- Demonstrated experience in an end-to-end payroll role
- Previous experience using UKG Ready and/or Payroll Metrics
- Experience supporting payroll following a system implementation or transition would be highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll practices and relevant legislative requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on payroll accuracy
- Solid reconciliation, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Confidence investigating payroll and system issues
- The ability to work collaboratively while also managing your own workload and priorities
- A practical, positive and solutions-focused approach
- Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail, enjoys solving payroll problems and can bring valuable system knowledge to a team navigating the first few months of a new payroll environment.
