About the Role

Brighton Petroleum is looking for a reliable, friendly and customer-focused Attendant to join our team.

As a Brighton Petroleum Attendant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our service station and convenience store. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and well-presented store, assisting customers at the pumps and ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys dealing with customers and can work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, qualified and productive customer service to every customer.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Process cash, EFTPOS and other transactions with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist customers at the fuel pumps where required, including helping customers who may have difficulty using the pumps.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well-presented shop, forecourt, toilets and surrounding areas.
- Restock shelves, fridges and displays and ensure products are presented correctly.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when products need to be replenished.
- Ensure promotional pricing and displays are correctly maintained and communicated to customers.
- Receive deliveries and assist with checking and putting away stock.
- Provide assistance with services including gas bottles, ice, firewood and SodaStream where required.
- Follow all workplace health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Report equipment, maintenance, safety or operational issues to management promptly.
- Follow cash-handling, security and loss-prevention procedures.
- Complete cleaning, stock and general operational duties as required.




- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.

- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing regular lifting, cleaning and restocking duties.
- Available to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays where required.
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, petrol stations or convenience stores is preferred but not essential.
