PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER (PRIMARY SCHOOL)
The King David School in Armadale is seeking a highly motivated, professional, and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our Junior School team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to make a meaningful contribution to our school community. You will be responsible for designing and delivering an engaging, inclusive, and rigorous PE program that fosters physical literacy, healthy habits, sportsmanship, and student wellbeing across the primary year levels.
This is a part-time ongoing position, with the potential for full time, commencing in Term 1 2027.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum for Physical Education and Health in primary settings.
- Proven ability to differentiate physical activities and curriculum effectively to cater to diverse student abilities and learning styles.
- A passion for student wellbeing, creating a positive, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages participation and team spirit.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills when engaging with students, colleagues, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, document, and deliver high-quality PE units and lessons in alignment with the Victorian Curriculum.
- Promote student participation and skills development in primary physical education, sports days, carnivals, and co-curricular sporting programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to student health and safety, including managing student medical needs during PE classes, excursions, and sporting events.
- Provide timely and accurate assessment and reporting consistent with the School’s guidelines.
- Actively contribute to the vibrant co-curricular and broader life of the Junior School community.
