Plastics Engineer/Fabricator/Welder position with Viking Plastics Engineering Ltd. The role involves fabrication of engineered plastic products in a modern, clean fabrication workshop as part of a small dedicated team.
Key responsibilities
- Fabrication of Engineered Plastic Products
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- On-site fabrications and welding
- Workshop housekeeping
- Use of Butt-Welding, extrusion welding and hot air welding equipment
- High Standard of Workmanship
About you
- Current Forklift and Drivers Licence
- Ability and competence with the operation of workshop machinery and electric hand-tools
- Solid communication skills including verbal, written and electronic (computer)
- Safe use of small hand and power tools
- A strong and respectful knowledge of OH&S; practices
- The ability to think outside the square, to communicate ideas and embrace new methodology
- Self-motivation and the confidence to work un-supervised is essential
- Willingness to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Previous experience with sheet manufacture/fabrication would be an advantage
- Previous welding experience would be an advantage
