An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant to join a Newcastle law firm supporting a Director and Senior Associate across Litigation and Estate Planning.
n
Both are highly experienced practitioners who are approachable and genuinely value the support they receive from their team. With a mix of Litigation and Estate Planning work, the role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to build a close working relationship with two practitioners who are great to work with.
n
Responsibilities includes:
n
n
- Preparing and amending correspondence, pleadings, evidence, briefs and other legal documents
n
- Preparing Local and Supreme Court documents
n
- Compiling briefs to Counsel
n
- Managing diaries, appointments, conferences and court dates
n
- Responding to client enquiries and assisting with new matter enquiries where required
n
- Opening, maintaining and closing matters in LEAP
n
- Managing document production, filing and archiving
n
- Assisting with client invoicing and following up outstanding payments
n
n
About you
n
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant within Litigation or Wills & Estates would be highly regarded, but isn't essential. We're equally interested in hearing from experienced legal support professionals from other areas of law.
