Lex & Winkle has partnered with an AI-native geospatial intelligence company transforming satellite imagery, aerial imagery and location data into commercial intelligence.

We're looking for a Principal Geospatial Engineer to own and build the geospatial intelligence capability underpinning the company’s products and platform.

Working directly with the Founder alongside the incoming technical team, you'll determine how they acquire, process, combine and operationalise imagery and spatial data at scale.

It's a role spanning geospatial engineering, software engineering, architecture, product and commercial thinking.

What you'll own

· Geospatial architecture and technical roadmap

· ArcGIS Enterprise deployment, administration and configuration on AWS

· Geospatial intelligence systems and data pipelines

· Satellite, aerial, cadastral, property and location datasets

· AI-driven analysis of aerial imagery for property intelligence and risk assessment

· Spatial data fusion, enrichment and automation

· Spatial databases and geospatial infrastructure

· APIs and services supporting commercial products

· Remote sensing, imagery processing and spatial analytics

· Integration between AI and geospatial capabilities

Your background might include

Geospatial software engineering, GIS development, remote sensing, Earth observation, location intelligence or geospatial product development. Candidates with backgrounds combining geospatial engineering plus AI,



computer vision, or machine learning on imagery would be particularly compelling.

Technically, we're interested in experience across Python, PostGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise administration, GDAL, GeoPandas, spatial databases, APIs, AWS, raster and vector processing, satellite or aerial imagery, computer vision or ML on imagery, and production geospatial systems.

But this search isn't about finding someone who ticks every technology box. We're looking for a builder: someone who can operate at architecture level while remaining hands-on, navigate ambiguity and understand how sophisticated geospatial capability becomes a commercially useful product.

Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance are required.
