About the Opportunity The Workday Product Specialist is a key intermediary between Technology and its customers across Minderoo Foundation. The role is responsible for capturing business needs related to Workday, translating them into solutions and delivering those solutions within quality, schedule and budget constraints.
The Product Specialist will work with the Core systems Product Owner, fellow Product Specialist, Delivery team and colleagues to meet customer needs and deliver results. The role will work on multiple work streams and projects simultaneously and deliver innovative, yet pragmatic solutions with positive impact. The role is responsible for servicing the Foundation.
Day to day you will:
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand needs, shape solutions and deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Lead discovery, requirements gathering and testing to ensure solutions enhance the employee and user experience.
- Help teams embrace change by supporting adoption, capability building and business readiness activities.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve ways of working and unlock greater value from our technology platforms.
- Contribute to scalable frameworks, tools and best practices that strengthen how we work across Minderoo.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Minderoo and the broader Tattarang family to share ideas, insights and expertise.
- Work closely with Product Owners and delivery teams to continuously enhance Workday and supporting applications.
- Shape and manage a prioritised roadmap of enhancements and improvements,
translating business needs into clear, actionable outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives that improve data quality, system integrations, reporting and overall platform performance.
- Champion secure, compliant and well-governed solutions that align with Minderoo's technology and risk principles.
- Stay ahead of emerging platform capabilities, including AI and Copilot innovations, and help drive their responsible adoption across the organisation.
About You The successful candidate will have experience working with enterprise HR and business platforms, with robust knowledge of Workday administration, configuration and continuous improvement. You will be comfortable partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into practical system solutions and drive outcomes across a complex organisation.
The following certifications are highly regarded:
- Workday Pro certifications in one or more functional areas (e.g. HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Learning, Absence, Compensation or Security)
- Workday Reporting and Analytics certification (desirable)
- Workday Integration certification or experience with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors and Studio (desirable)
You will also have
- Proven experience as a Product Specialist, Systems Analyst, Functional Consultant or Business Analyst supporting Workday or similar enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of Workday functional configuration, security, business processes and tenant management.
- Experience supporting Workday modules such as HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Performance, Compensation or Absence Management.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and translating business requirements into scalable system solutions.
- Relevant experience in backlog management, requirements prioritisation and UAT coordination and execution.
- Experience partnering with stakeholders to drive adoption, process improvements and continuous enhancement of enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of system development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and change management practices.
- Experience supporting or coordinating Workday releases, testing cycles and production deployments.
- Knowledge of Workday reporting, dashboards and data quality management.
- Understanding of integrations between Workday and enterprise applications, including concepts such as APIs, middleware, identity management and data flows.
- Experience working with vendors and technology partners to deliver platform improvements and resolve complex issues.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar tools for backlog, release and delivery management.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and business process improvement skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
- Knowledge of and confidence using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with Workday product innovations and industry best practice.
