Fiable is a growing technology company helping some of the world’s leading construction and infrastructure organisations better understand and manage subcontractor delivery risk.

Our platform brings together financial, operational and broader business information to assess subcontractors and provide explicit, actionable insights that support better procurement and commercial decisions.

With Fiable established across Australia and expanding into the UK and other international markets, we’re investing significantly in the next generation of our platform – and we’re looking for an experienced Product Owner to join us on the journey.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on Product Owner role where you’ll take genuine ownership of major product and technology initiatives from initial idea or business problem right through to successful delivery.

You’ll work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to understand how things currently work, identify what needs to change and translate those needs into clear product requirements.

From there, you’ll partner closely with our engineering team to turn those requirements into practical solutions, manage priorities and dependencies, test what has been built and make sure the finished product successfully makes it into production.

In short – you’ll own the outcome, not just the backlog.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for

- Owning product initiatives from discovery through to delivery, release and adoption
- Working with customers and internal teams to understand business problems, processes and requirements
- Translating business needs into clear product and functional requirements
- Creating epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Prioritising and managing the backlog for your workstream
- Working closely with engineers throughout development
- Resolving questions, blockers and ambiguity to keep delivery moving
- Coordinating dependencies across product,



engineering and operational teams
- Leading testing and acceptance of new functionality
- Managing delivery plans, milestones, risks and priorities
- Supporting the successful implementation and adoption of new functionality
- Providing clear visibility of progress, challenges and key decisions

What we’re looking for You may currently be working as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst or similar, ideally within a technology, SaaS or digital product environment.

More importantly, you’ll be someone who can demonstrate that you have personally taken complex technology or product initiatives from an initial problem or concept through to a successfully delivered solution.

You’ll bring

- Strong experience working directly with software engineers or development teams
- Scrum/Product Owner Qualifications
- The ability to turn business problems into clear, buildable requirements
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements
- Strong stakeholder and customer engagement skills
- A curious mindset and willingness to dig into how processes actually work
- Strong organisation and delivery skills
- Confidence managing multiple priorities, dependencies and deadlines
- The ability to make decisions and maintain momentum when requirements evolve
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and genuine accountability for delivery

Experience with AI-enabled products, workflow automation, APIs, data products, construction technology or B2B SaaS would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential. Why Fiable?
