About the role The Team Leader is a hands-on lead from the front to ensure efficiency and quality in the assembly of concrete sleepers, supporting the Production Manager with the day-to-day management of the production area, overseeing a group of team members and ensuring an efficient production in achieving business targets.

Key responsibilities

- Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear

- Perform inspections of end products to assess quality according to company standards

- Record daily sleepers information and data to track performance in accordance with production goals

- Supervise and train production team members

- Meet daily KPIs

- Maintain and keep clean storage and production work areas, lunchrooms and smoko areas

- Work on production floor and lead from the front

- Ensure pre-start inspections are done daily on machinery and forklifts





- Daily reporting to Production Managers

- Maintain and upkeep moulds and all tools and equipment

About you

- Must have a forklift license and be very competent on a forklift

- Experience in production management

- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations

- Professional attitude and reliable

- Self-driven with ability to consistently meet all deadlines

- Able to work under pressure and attend to ad hoc functions as required

- Ability to drive efficiencies and informed decision making through extensive analysis

- Adopts a skilled approach to own accountability

- Ability to adapt to changing environment

- Must be willing to work overtime hours
