Project Manager / Roofing Supervisor
Aurem Cladding + Roofing
Full-time salaried position
Gold Coast and South East Queensland
About Aurem
Aurem Cladding + Roofing is a growing metal roofing and architectural cladding contractor delivering residential, commercial and industrial projects throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Northern Rivers and surrounding areas.
Our work includes new metal roofing, re-roofing, fascia and gutter systems, downpipes, insulated roofing systems, architectural wall cladding, flashings and associated roof plumbing works.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Roofing Supervisor who can take ownership of projects from handover through to completion.
This is a combined office and site-based position. It is suited to an experienced metal roofer, roofing supervisor or project manager who understands how roofing projects are actually built and can coordinate clients, builders, employees, subcontractors, suppliers and site requirements.
The Role The Project Manager / Roofing Supervisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising multiple metal roofing and cladding projects across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
You will receive projects following acceptance and manage their delivery through pre-commencement, site measure, procurement, installation, quality assurance, completion and handover.
This is not a purely office-based project management role. Regular site attendance, accurate measuring, quality inspections and direct coordination with installation teams are essential.
The successful applicant will be expected to identify issues early, communicate clearly and keep projects moving safely, efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Programming
Site Measuring and Technical Review
Material Procurement
Site Supervision
Client and Builder Liaison

Office and Site Expectations
This is a mobile role combining project administration with regular site supervision.
The expected split will generally be approximately:
50% office and project administration
50% site visits, measuring, inspections and coordination
This split will change depending on the active workload and stage of each project.
The role is primarily Monday to Friday; however, roofing projects often require early site starts, delivery coordination and occasional attendance outside ordinary office hours. Reasonable flexibility will be required to manage weather events,
urgent site matters and critical project activities.
The position is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work, not operating as a full-time installer. However, the successful applicant must be capable of inspecting work at roof level and providing practical assistance or completing minor rectification and make-safe work when reasonably required.
Required Experience and Qualifications The successful applicant will ideally have:
Strong experience in metal roofing & architectural metal cladding.
Previous experience as a project manager, roofing supervisor, site supervisor or leading hand.
A relevant trade qualification in roof plumbing or metal roofing.
Strong knowledge of residential, commercial and industrial roofing systems.
The ability to accurately measure roofs and wall-cladding areas.
Experience preparing material take-offs and roofing orders.
The ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and hydraulic drawings.
Knowledge of roof sheeting, fascia, gutters, downpipes, insulation, safety mesh, flashings and cladding systems.
A sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Demonstrated experience coordinating employees and subcontractors.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valuable computer, email and mobile-device skills.
A current Australian driver licence.
A Construction Industry White Card.
The ability to work safely at heights and access active roofing sites.
Experience using Buildxact, project-management software, Microsoft Office, PDF mark-up programs or similar construction systems would be advantageous.
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone who:
Takes ownership of projects and follows matters through to completion.
Is organised and capable of managing several projects simultaneously.
Communicates early instead of allowing problems to develop.
Is confident dealing with builders, clients, suppliers and installation teams.
Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in finished workmanship.
Can balance programme, cost, safety and quality requirements.
Remains calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
Is firm but respectful when managing employees and subcontractors.
Understands the importance of documentation and written confirmation.
Is commercially aware and treats company time and materials responsibly.
Wants to help build stronger systems within a growing roofing company.

Projects commencing on time and being delivered in accordance with the agreed programme.
Accurate site measures, take-offs and material orders.
Reduced material shortages, reorders and avoidable wastage.
Labour and subcontractor costs remaining within project allowances.
Consistent quality inspections and reduced defects or return visits.
Variations being identified, documented and approved.
Clear and timely communication with clients, builders and site teams.
Complete project records, photographs and compliance documentation.
Safe worksites and adherence to Aurem’s safety procedures.
Professional management of employees and subcontractors.
Successful project completion and client handover.

The role will provide day-to-day direction to:
Roof plumbers
Leading hands
