CC Pines

Sydney

Base in Sydney. Run a standout Territory project.

CC Pines is looking for a Project Manager to join our Sydney team and take ownership of our Darwin project. You'll be Sydney based day to day, with monthly trips to site, so you get genuine end-to-end ownership of a Defence-linked build, without needing to relocate to do it.

If you want the kind of role where your decisions actually shape the outcome, and you're happy to add regular Territory trips into your rhythm, keep reading.

About Us

CC Pines is an Australian-owned, family-founded construction company with a 45-year track record of delivering complex, high-risk projects that other contractors won't touch, from embassy builds in Morocco to Defence infrastructure across the Pacific. We work with the Australian Department of Defence, DFAT, and the US Department of Defence, and we've never had a reportable safety incident. We're big enough to run world-class projects, small enough that your voice actually gets heard.

Our values, humble, hungry, smart, aren't a poster on the wall. They're how we pick our people and how we run our projects.

Why This Role?

- Sydney based, Territory ownership. Keep your home base and your routine, while running full end-to-end delivery on a nationally significant Defence-linked project.
- Real ownership, not a fly-in-fly-out afterthought. Budget, program, team and client relationship are yours to run, monthly site trips keep you close to the detail without requiring relocation.
- A properly interesting project. Darwin's Defence and infrastructure pipeline is booming, and this puts you right in the middle of it.
- Travel handled.

Flights, accommodation and travel logistics for your monthly Darwin trips are organised and covered, so you can focus on the work.
- Career runway. Own a standout project without uprooting your life to do it.

A Bit About Darwin

When you're on-site, Darwin brings a genuine change of pace from Sydney, Mindil Beach sunsets, a laid-back Territory rhythm, and a dry season (roughly May to October) with some of the best year-round outdoor conditions in the country. It also means real face time with your site team and client, not just a monthly box-tick, so trips are worth planning around rather than just enduring.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of our Darwin project, from planning and budget through to delivery and client handover, working from Sydney with monthly trips to site to stay close to progress, the team, and the client relationship. You'll lead the site team remotely between visits, manage subcontractors and consultants, keep the program and commercials on track, and be the key point of contact for the client throughout.

What you'll be doing:

- Owning project delivery end to end, program, budget, quality and safety
- Leading and coordinating the site team,

subcontractors and consultants, remotely and during site visits
- Managing client relationships and acting as the primary point of contact
- Overseeing cost control, forecasting and commercial performance in conjunction with the Contracts team
- Identifying risks early and driving practical solutions before they become problems
- Ensuring compliance with HSE standards and CC Pines' zero-incident track record
- Reporting project progress and performance to senior leadership
- Travelling to Darwin roughly monthly to maintain strong on-the-ground oversight

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience as a Project Manager on commercial, infrastructure or government construction projects
- Experience with Defence, DFAT or other government-funded projects highly regarded
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to own budgets and forecasts, not just report on them
- Confident leadership across multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors, including managing effectively between site visits
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including direct client relationships
- Sound understanding of HSE requirements and a genuine commitment to a protected site
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
- Willingness and ability to travel to Darwin approximately once a month

Ready to Lead From Sydney?

If you want a role where you'll genuinely run the project, build your career on a standout Territory job, and do it without relocating, we want to hear from you.
