Project Manager – Full-Time

Roddy Engineering is a growing engineering and fabrication company based in Tumut, NSW. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and manage a varied mix of projects across industrial, infrastructure and major project environments.

This isn’t a role where every project looks the same. We generally have multiple jobs running at once, ranging from local fabrication and maintenance work through to major infrastructure projects. We’re looking for someone who enjoys that variety, can manage competing priorities and is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.

The role is based in Tumut and is not FIFO, however there will be times when you’ll need to travel and work away from home depending on project requirements. You’ll also need to be willing and able to complete site inductions and access requirements for environments such as hydro facilities, power stations, mills and major construction sites.

Typical duties include managing projects from award through to completion, coordinating procurement and subcontractors, monitoring budgets and schedules, maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring quality and safety requirements are met, and providing clear project updates to management and key stakeholders.





You’ll work closely with our Directors, Estimating Team, Workshop and site crews to keep projects moving and resolve issues as they arise.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

- Previous Project Management experience is required, ideally within fabrication, welding, mechanical or engineering environments.
- Experience with piping projects would be highly regarded, along with a good understanding of project cost control, scheduling, client management and leadership.
- Experience working within ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and AS/NZS 5131 systems is also advantageous.
- You’ll also need to be comfortable working with controlled project documentation, registers, revisions, approvals and client document systems. Experience on larger, document-heavy projects will be highly regarded.
- We’re looking for someone who is organised, practical, comfortable making decisions and able to manage several different projects without losing sight of the details.
