Primary objective

Lead a small project team responsible for planning and delivering strategic workforce service improvements to a suite of online forms to support HR service delivery and enhancements across the broader public sector.

Context statement

Workforce Services are delivered to client agencies under a centralised services model across a geographically and culturally diverse environment. The Workforce Operations and Partnerships team provides Workforce Business Partner, recruitment advisory services,





general HR support and business improvement initiatives to client agencies through closely aligned work units.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide high level advice and project management support, working proactively and collaboratively with client agencies, internal

teams and external service providers to identify service improvements and support the development, update and continuous improvement to a suite of online forms.
1. Development of supporting project documentation including project initiation documents, implementation plans, and relevant reports,

adhering to project governance structures.
1. Work with subject matter experts in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Workforce Services to ensure compliance

with NTPS employment and industrial relations legislation, agency policies and delegations in the development of online forms.
1. Manage the day-to-day activities of a small project team and foster a collaborative working environment within the Human Resources

function.
1. Development of change management strategies and engagement of client agencies and stakeholders through established

communications channels.
1. Undertake system enhancements, development, reporting and review cycles in accordance with agency requirements.

Selection criteria

Essential

2. Experience in enhancement and development of ICT initiatives with demonstrated experience in monitoring,



reporting and data

management.
1. Demonstrated project management within ICT or business management, including the ability to investigate, manage and report on

complex issues and recommend strategies and improvements.
1. High level oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and

establish collaborative relationships at all levels to positively influence change.
- Demonstrated high level strategic, conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation,

policies and procedures.

- Ability to understand and apply core HR or business processes or quickly learn them through self-directed learning and collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Highly developed organisational skills, specifically the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise commitments and meet critical deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

1. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being qualified, accountable, honest, innovative and

respectful.

Desirable

1. Working knowledge of the Public Sector Employment and Management Act, ICT and NTPS employment and industrial relations

legislation, policies and best practice.
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field such as ICT, project management, human resources or a related field.
