You will be involved in the facilitation of sustainable exploration & mining related development across the State by undertaking assessment of mining tenure applications, providing advice about exploration and mining developments, liaising with clients and stakeholders in government and the community, and also with regional exploration & mining industry operators to support the Assessment Hub.

Mining is the number one wealth generating sector in the state & the work done in this division plays a key role in regulating the resources sector, while also supporting industry development and sector growth.

As a Project Officer Assessment, you will play an important role in supporting the administration and assessment of mining, exploration and development tenure applications across Queensland. Working within the Coal Assessment Hub, you will contribute to the timely and accurate delivery of tenure assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and departmental procedures.

In this role, you will work closely with industry representatives, tenure holders, government agencies and internal stakeholders to facilitate the progression of tenure applications and provide high-quality administrative and operational support. Your day-to-day work will involve conducting research, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining accurate records and information systems, and assisting in the continuous improvement of business processes and customer service.
