About The Role The Western Australian Office of Crime Statistics and Research (WACSAR) is responsible for researching and analysing crime and criminal justice issues and trends in Western Australia. The Office interprets and critically evaluates justice data to inform policy and government decision-making and policy development.
The Project Officer is responsible for undertaking complex research and data analysis that supports evidence-based policy and decision-making across the Department. Through research, evaluation and review activities, environmental scanning, report and briefing paper preparation, implementation planning and stakeholder engagement, the position contributes to the provision of high level advice and information to the Attorney General, Minister for Corrective Services, Director General and business area managers. The role requires strong analytical, project management and communication skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality work within agreed timeframes and supporting strategic and operational priorities across the Department
Suitability Requirements
Through the recruitment process, we will be looking for a candidate who can demonstrate skills, experience and attributes in relation to the following:

Professional judgement, integrity and accountability – Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, exercise sound judgement, work within governance frameworks and take responsibility for outcomes.
