Talent Mode’s Defence consultancy client seeking a Project Manager who can drive complex technical delivery, manage diverse stakeholders, and keep mission‑critical programs on track.
This role will suit an above the line project manager with Australian Defence schedule, budget, governance and risk PMO experience.
$150k - $190k package inc super

Role and Responsibilities
- End‑to‑end project delivery across scope, schedule, budget and risk
- Development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts
- Achievement of key milestones under strict governance and assurance frameworks
- High‑quality reporting, recommendations and decision‑support for senior leaders
- Proactive risk, issue and dependency management with timely escalation
- Coordination of multidisciplinary teams, contractors and external partners
- Delivery of acquisition, integration, testing and acceptance activities
- Smooth transition to operational service, including handover and sustainment planning
- Robust, productive relationships across Defence, industry and international partners
- Creation of business cases, briefs, documentation and governance artefacts
Required Experience
- Proven experience delivering complex technical or Defence projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to operate confidently in structured, high‑assurance environments
