Primary objective

Ensure delivery of high quality, culturally appropriate and effective [insert profession] services whilst providing clinical leadership and supervision to Allied Health Professionals within NT Health.

NT Health provides integrated allied health services in a variety of service settings including acute and sub-acute care, primary health care,

aged care and mental health.



Currently seeking applicants in the following areas of Sub-Acute in Geriatric Evaluation Management. This position will require the applicant to work within an extended hours service model, which may include weekends (as applicable).

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Provide evidence based psychological services to clients within a multidisciplinary framework under supervision of the Senior

Psychologist.
- Provide advice to the Senior Psychologist and management on program and clinical issues in psychology clinical area.
- Provide supervision and/or support to students and relevant staff.
- Manage a caseload in a timely manner and re-prioritise tasks to ensure timelines are met.
- Participate in quality improvement and service development activities at a local or regional level to ensure contemporary psychological services to meet patient outcomes.
- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary team leadership practices and role modelling behaviour in accordance with

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Relevant qualifications in psychology that meets unconditional registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner





Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
1. Experience providing evidence informed treatment for high prevalence psychological disorders
2. Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Aboriginal culture and proven experience in working effectively with patients and

families/carers of diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
- Proven high level communication and interpersonal skills, including well developed negotiation and conflict management skills, with significant experience working in a team environment to achieve positive health outcomes.
- Extensive experience in clinical supervision of students and staff and a commitment to professional development.
- Proven ability to initiate, implement and complete continuous quality improvement and service development activities.

1. Proven ability to efficiently and effectively organise and manage a high volume complex workload.
2. Demonstrated high level leadership skills with capacity to provide leadership in a team workplace.

Desirable

1. Clinical experience related to sub-acute services with experience providing contemporary psychological services to patients and

families/carers. Further information The preferred or recommended applicant will be required to hold a current working with children clearance notice and undergo a criminal history check. A criminal history will not exclude an applicant from this position unless it is relevant to the position. This role carries specific immunisation requirements.
