Maincode makes Matilda, an Australian-made AI stack we run end-to-end, from tin to token. We operate our own infrastructure here in Australia, train and maintain our own frontier models, and run multiple surfaces on top of them, including chat, coding, and APIs. Everything we ship is built on capability we control ourselves.

Qualifications & Expectations
- Psychology Background: Required. Our hiring framework relies heavily on psychological principles to accurately assess candidate capability, behavioral alignment, and team dynamics.
- Balanced Interview Load: You will spend roughly 2–3 hours per day conducting structured interviews, reserving the remainder of your time for strategic sourcing, pipeline development, and candidate assessment.
- Solid Signal: Ability to quickly evaluate high-performing technical talent and communicate direct, unvarnished feedback.
