About the role

Mater Private Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our newly renovated Coronary Care Unit on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive and dynamic team, while contributing to excellence in cardiac nursing within one of Queensland’s leading private healthcare providers.

Joining a growing outstanding clinical team, the Mater Private Hospital Cardiac Service is an outstanding addition to Mater’s already impressive list of clinical innovations. The Cardiac Service offers cardiovascular services to both public and private patients across our combined Cardiology Ward / Coronary Care Unit and Cardiovascular Procedural Unit.

You will be joining a busy department that is led by a passionate and innovative Nursing Manager who strongly encourages career development and team collaboration. The Medical and Nursing staff are specially trained in the treatment of complex cardiology patients, and provide exceptional care to ensure our patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

Salary range: per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

As a Registered Nurse in our Coronary Care Unit, you’ll provide safe, evidence-based clinical care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and treatment. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll assess, plan, and evaluate patient care while supporting their families through all stages of recovery.



You’ll play a vital role in promoting best practice, ensuring patient safety, and upholding Mater’s mission and values in all aspects of care.

About you

You’re an experienced and compassionate nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional care and achieving positive patient outcomes. You will bring:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Proven clinical competency in an acute care setting (cardiac experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary environment
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
- A genuine alignment with Mater’s Mission and Values, demonstrating empathy, respect, and integrity in patient care
