POSITION SUMMARY

Experienced in day-to-day business operations, and leading a team, the Branch Operations Manager-VIC role will lead the internal team to provide industry best practice, customer service and support.

The Branch Operations Supervisor - VIC focus will be:

- Ensuring appropriate use of time and resources to deliver products and information accurately and on time to customers.
- Leading the QLD efforts on achievement and maintenance of certifications, including (but not limited to) ISO9001, 14001, 14064, 45001, Test Safe Hazardous Area.
- Championing an OHS conscious environment and making improvements in the business wherever possible to ensure safety at work.
- Optimizing and implementing processes to make the VIC day-to-day operations more profitable and efficient. Managing local supplier relationships and service levels to ensure our suppliers help VIC achieve our targets.

As a Branch Operations Supervisor - VIC you will work to improve TECO’s operational efficiency and service levels to the market, ultimately supporting the business to achieve financial and market share growth. You will do so by building and leading a focused and motivated team.

You will personally get involved in doing the day-to-day work of your team. This will include things such as answering the main phone line and responding/actioning requests and orders.

As a senior member of our team, you will work across all levels in the organization to increase sales opportunities and margins, thereby maximizing revenue for the organization. You will lead a team that embodies TECO’s core values – Client- Centricity, Growth Mindset, Open Dialogue, Co-Creation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting the external sales team to grow the business and on-board current customers.
• Work to develop KPI’s in conjunction with Regionals Manager Southern Region and monitor set KPI’s with all your staff.
• Recruit, train, and ensure ongoing development of staff within your team.
• Directly manage the internal team including stores, modshop, and internal sales.
• Provide support to the external sales team such as identifying and passing on opportunities to grow the business.
• Learn the technical side of the business to a level where you can be seen as a pillar of knowledge to your team.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, implementing approved ideas with effective change management where needed.




• Develop proposals that meet the client’s needs and objectives, as well as overcome their objections.
• Work with local suppliers to ensure TECO obtains fair market pricing for services and receiving services that allows us to be industry leaders.
• Manage objections and challenges, working through differences to a positive conclusion.
• Stock control. This includes ensuring products are receipted and dispatched correctly, stock takes are run effectively, and stock purchase orders are placed in a timely manner with HQ. It is envisioned that eventually; the Operations Manager role will be responsible for setting min/max stock levels with the support of the Regional Sales Manager/National Sales Director and will ultimately own the stock control function.
• Manage TECO QLD certifications and systems.
• Lead OHS improvements and ensure the wider team are always working to best OHS practices.
• Take opportunities to automate and digitize processes wherever possible to optimize staff performance and information management.
• Take the lead on SAP ERP. SAP CRM, CPQ and ensure all staff are trained and using the system productively.

Admin
• Develop and submit relevant reports where required.
• Approve and sign local purchase orders as per GOA.
• Review and approve any stock order requests from HQ.
• Approve leave requests on company system.
• Approve and manage any overtime requests.
• Develop and maintain production schedules work for VIC modshop.
• Assist the Regional Sales Manager/National Sales Director in creating and implementing overall business plans for TECO VIC/TAS/SA operations
• Manage the annual stock take process and stock transfers internally with Head office and consignment locations.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Regional Manager- Southern Region

AUTHORITIES
• Authorities as per TECO Delegation of Authority Document.

EDUCATION
• Tertiary level Engineering or Business qualifications desirable but not required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
• It is expected that this position may require occasional travel to Sydney Head Office for training or meetings.
