Are you an experienced Import Operator looking for an opportunity closer to home in Sydney’s west?

Our client is a well-established international freight forwarding business seeking an Import Operator to join the team. You will coordinate air and sea freight import shipments from origin through to final delivery using CargoWise.

An experienced Import Operator is preferred; however, the company is also open to considering a junior candidate who has gained some exposure to freight forwarding imports and is ready to develop their skills.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Working within a supportive and team-focused environment, you will manage international air and sea freight import shipments while maintaining regular communication with customers, overseas agents and service providers.
For a developing Import Operator, this is an opportunity to work alongside experienced freight professionals and expand your knowledge of the end-to-end import process.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating air and sea freight import shipments from origin through to delivery
- Opening and maintaining shipment files in CargoWise
- Monitoring shipment milestones and arrival schedules
- Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines and airlines
- Coordinating deliveries with local transport providers
- Preparing and checking import documentation
- Providing customers with regular shipment updates
- Assisting with costings, invoicing and file completion
- Resolving operational issues and responding to customer enquiries




- Working closely with the broader operations team

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Previous experience coordinating international freight forwarding imports
- Experience across both air and sea freight is preferred
- CargoWise experience is highly regarded
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team

Junior candidates with relevant exposure to import operations or international freight forwarding are also encouraged to apply.
