The Role:
As the AO6 Senior Claims Advisor, you will manage a diverse portfolio of Common Law personal injury claims. Key responsibilities will include:
- Proactively manage a portfolio of complex CTP insurance claims within a Common Law environment
- Investigate claims and assess liability in accordance with relevant legislation and procedural requirements
- Review medical evidence and legal advice to assess damages and maintain accurate claim estimates
- Develop recommendations and strategies for the negotiation and settlement of claims
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and their legal representatives within delegated authority
- Engage and manage external parties including investigators, solicitors, barristers and rehabilitation providers
- Represent the organisation at settlement conferences,
negotiations and court proceedings as required
- Mentor and guide Claims Assessors while supporting compliance and continuous improvement
Your Profile:
- Demonstrated experience managing CTP and/or complex personal injury claims within a Common Law environment
- Experience managing claims under the Motor Accident Insurance Act 1994
- Sound understanding of liability assessment and applicable case law
- Ability to assess the quantum of personal injury claims, including application of the Civil Liability Act 2003 and relevant Regulation
- Solid investigative, analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities
- Ability to manage complex claims while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards
- Experience mentoring or supporting claims staff will be highly regarded
