About your role

Bring your advanced clinical expertise and leadership to the Endoscopy Unit at Logan Hospital as our Clinical Nurse Consultant – Endoscopy Surveillance. In this specialist role, you will provide expert clinical consultancy across Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, coordinating colonoscopy surveillance recommendations and ensuring patients receive appropriate follow-up care.

The Endoscopy Unit is a friendly, dynamic and welcoming service performing approximately 8,000 procedures each year across diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy screening, capsule endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound and bronchoscopy.

- Review procedure and histology reports and coordinate appropriate surveillance recommendations.
- Liaise with Consultants and Proceduralists to determine current surveillance intervals.
- Communicate surveillance recommendations and follow-up requirements with patients and GPs.
- Maintain accurate surveillance data and quality databases.

About you:

You are an experienced Registered Nurse with advanced clinical knowledge and demonstrated expertise in Endoscopy nursing. You bring strong clinical judgement, leadership capability and the confidence to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a broad range of healthcare professionals.

- You will be passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and using evidence, education and quality improvement to continually enhance clinical practice.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in Endoscopy nursing practice.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and the ability to influence positive practice change.
- Experience interpreting procedure and histology information and coordinating surveillance.
