We are on the hunt for a highly organised and creatively driven Menswear Design & Product Assistant to support our Design & Production team from concept through to production.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a lively fashion environment, has a strong eye for detail, and is passionate about design, sustainability, and product development.
About the Role
Working closely with the Design & Product Team, you’ll assist in bringing seasonal collections and SMU styles to life while ensuring timelines, quality standards, and critical path deadlines are met.
You’ll play a key role in sample management, tech pack updates, supplier communication, sourcing and maintaining seasonal trackers and libraries.
Your responsibilities will include
- Assist Designers with capsule collections, CADs, detailed sketches and tech packs.
- Review and update tech packs, art files and development documents.
- Research global trends, contribute to seasonal direction and competitor reports.
- Manage samples including tagging, steaming, organising and shoot preparation.
- Assist with sourcing fabrics, trims and sustainable product solutions.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely communication and issue resolution.
- Maintain seasonal trackers, strike-offs, lab dips and development approvals.
- Be present during fit sessions to observe and record changes and / or approvals.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on bulk production and size runs where necessary.
- Assist with barcode approvals, filing and general team administration.
About You
- 1-3 years Fashion Design, Production or Product Development experience in a similar role (Tertiary qualification preferred)
- Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills, intermediate Microsoft Excel
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external suppliers
- A proactive, collaborative and positive attitude
- Above all, you must be a multi-skilled, team player that can assist in any tasks within the Design and Production Department where required
