Bar Sophia is looking for a Restaurant Supervisor / Senior Section Waiter to join our team.

Bar Sophia is a contemporary Greek restaurant and wine bar, with a Greek kitchen built around wood-fire cooking. We focus heavily on Greek wine, offering an extensive list that also explores Europe and beyond, alongside a robust cocktail program.

We’re a busy venue and we’re after someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, knows how to run a good service and likes being part of the action.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be on the floor, working closely with the team, looking after our guests and making sure the venue runs smoothly from open to close.

What you’ll be doing

- Run your own section to a high standard while supporting the wider floor team

- Making sure guests feel welcome and well looked after

- Managing the day-to-day running of the restaurant

- Overseeing bookings and service flow

- Assist with opening and closing procedures

- Assist the Restaurant Manager with day-to-day operations





- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally

What we’re looking for

You’ll have experience supervising a restaurant or bar and be comfortable taking charge of a busy service. You must also have a strong knowledge of wine and wine service.

More importantly, you’ll be someone who:

- Enjoys being on the floor and leading from the front

- Knows what good hospitality looks like

- Communicates well and knows how to get the best out of a team

- Takes pride in the details

- Has a genuine interest in food, wine and hospitality

- Is organised, reliable and happy to get stuck in

We want someone who enjoys the people, the pace and everything that comes with running a great restaurant.

Bar Sophia trades Tuesday to Sunday, so you’ll need to be flexible and available across our trading days.
