A well-regarded family-owned mixed farming and feedlot enterprise near Bowenville, on Queensland's productive Darling Downs, is seeking a motivated Feedlot Administration / Livestock Hand to join its team.
Established in 2016, the business has built a strong reputation for cattle performance, operational efficiency and long-standing client relationships. Located just a short drive from Dalby, the area offers the benefits of rural living while maintaining access to excellent schools, sporting facilities, shopping, healthcare services and a strong agricultural community. This is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting a long-term role in a secure and growing livestock business.
Working closely with the business owners and livestock team, this position will suit a reliable and organised individual who enjoys balancing administration responsibilities with practical livestock work. The role is available for an immediate start or by negotiation with the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage weighbridge operations,
commodity receivals and dispatch documentation.
- Maintain livestock records, NLIS transfers, compliance documentation and reporting requirements.
- Complete administration tasks including purchase orders, invoicing, stocktakes, reporting and communications.
- Assist with livestock inductions, drafting, animal health treatments and general feedlot operations .
Selection Criteria:
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping ability.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn industry software systems.
- Confidence working around cattle and a calm, practical approach to livestock handling.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a small team environment.
Additional Particulars:
- Training will be provided where required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills within the feedlot and livestock industry.
- Full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm, plus a rostered weekend (approximately one in four).
- Remuneration package negotiable based on skills and experience, with PPE supplied.
- Accommodation is not currently provided; rental options are available in nearby Dalby.
