About the role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Venue Manager to lead a current venue opening in Kingswood. You'll be involved from the beginning: helping build the team, establish the culture and operating standards, and then taking ownership of the day-to-day performance of the venue. This is a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading people and taking genuine responsibility for the performance of their venue. You'll be supported by an experienced senior operations team.

Weekend availability is essential, as weekends are an important part of the business.

Key responsibilities

- Leading, coaching and developing the front-of-house team

- Helping recruit, onboard and build the opening team

- Being highly visible on the floor and setting the standard for service

- Managing rosters, labour costs and day-to-day staffing

- Driving sales and improving the customer experience

- Working closely with the Executive Chef and senior operations team





- Taking ownership of busy service periods

- Building a positive, accountable team culture

- Maintaining strong operational, RSA, WHS and food-safety standards

- Identifying opportunities to improve the venue and having the autonomy to implement good ideas

About you

- Strong hospitality management experience

- A natural ability to lead, motivate and hold people accountable

- Excellent floor presence and customer-service skills

- Experience with rosters, labour management and cost control

- The confidence to make decisions and solve problems

- A hands-on approach

- Strong communication and organisational skills

- Experience opening a new venue is highly regarded, but not essential

- Current NSW RSA RCG and Approved Manager qualifications are highly regarded

- Full Australian working rights suitable for an ongoing full-time role
