Are you an experienced sea freight export professional looking for your next opportunity in Sydney’s CBD?

Our client is a well-established international freight forwarding business seeking an Export Sea Freight Operations Coordinator to join its experienced operations team.

This role requires someone with a practical background in sea freight exports who understands the export process and can confidently manage shipments with limited training. You will still receive support while learning the company’s internal procedures, but you will need to bring established export knowledge to the position.

The Opportunity You will be responsible for coordinating sea freight export shipments and working closely with shipping lines, transport providers, overseas agents and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating sea freight export shipments from booking through to departure
- Managing export bookings with shipping lines and transport providers
- Preparing and processing export documentation
- Preparing Bills of Lading, pre-alerts and shipping instructions
- Monitoring shipment milestones, container movements and cut-off times
- Liaising with customers, overseas agents and service providers
- Providing customers with accurate and timely shipment updates
- Updating shipment information in CargoWise and internal systems




- Identifying and resolving operational issues
- Working with the wider operations team to ensure shipments move efficiently

About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

- Previous experience in sea freight export operations
- A practical understanding of export bookings, documentation and shipment coordination
- The ability to manage export shipments with limited training
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet shipping deadlines
- A proactive, dependable and team-focused approach

Experience using CargoWise will be highly regarded.
