About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our highly regarded community kindergarten.
The teaching position will commence from the 2027 kindergarten year and involves leading the Lorikeets Group, a Thursday and Friday Long Day Kindergarten Program run during 4 terms per year (children currently attend 8.30am to 4pm). Minimum hours will be 39 hours per fortnight which includes both non-contact and program delivery.
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you a valued member of the community and will lead and deliver the Kindergarten Program within a nurturing, play-based environment. The role is responsible for delivering a high-quality educational experience that supports children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity to explore a Co-Director role either upon commencement or as a future career pathway.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the Lorikeets Group Thursday-Friday Long Day Kindergarten Program
- Deliver a high-quality kindergarten program aligned with the EYLF and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG)
- Create engaging and inclusive learning environments that inspire curiosity, imagination, and confidence
- Build strong and respectful partnerships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in early childhood education
- Contribute positively to the close-knit team and nurturing kindergarten culture
About you
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- Current Queensland Teacher Registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current Blue/ Exemption Card
- Solid knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF, and QKLG
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative approach and genuine passion for community-based early childhood education
- An interest in leadership and service development (desirable)
