Chef - The Clifton Hill Hotel

The Clifton Hill Hotel (the Cliffy) is looking for an experienced chef to join our kitchen team.

About us

The Cliffy is a heritage-listed pub in Melbourne's inner north, in continuous family ownership since 1985. We run a busy kitchen with a long-established team, the kind of place where people stick around because it's well run and well supported, not because they have to.

About the role

- 4-day week

- Working alongside a supportive, experienced kitchen leadership team

- Ability to run and manage the kitchen in the head chef's absence

- Full involvement in day-to-day service. This is a hands-on kitchen, not a supervisory-only role

What we're looking for

- Solid experience in a busy kitchen environment; pub experience preferred

- Strong organisation and time management

- Ability to stay calm under pressure during service

- Someone who can step up and run the kitchen when needed, without needing to be told how.
