Electrician - Water Bore Service & Maintenance

At Virgin Bores, we specialise in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of domestic, commercial, and rural water bore systems throughout the Perth metropolitan area. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated A-Grade Electrician to join our field service team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys a variety of work, problem-solving, customer interaction, and working outdoors across different sites.

About the Role

As a Water Bore Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning bore pumps, control systems, and associated electrical equipment. You will work across residential, commercial, and agricultural properties throughout Perth and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Fault finding and diagnosis of bore pump systems and electrical controls

- Installation and commissioning of new water bore pumps and equipment

- Service, maintenance, and repair of existing bore systems

- Installation and maintenance of:

- Bore pumps

- Pressure systems

- Pump control panels

- Float controls and irrigation interfaces

- Electrical testing and commissioning

- Providing exceptional customer service

- Maintaining accurate service records and reports

- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with Australian Standards

About You

Essential

- WA A-Grade Electrical Licence

- Current Australian (c-class) Driver's Licence

- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

- Experience with electrical installation, testing, and commissioning

- Ability to work independently, schedule and manage your own workload

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong focus on safety and quality workmanship

- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

Highly Desirable

- Experience in water bore, pump, irrigation, or industrial maintenance industries

- Experience with motor control systems

- Instrumentation experience

- Experience with underground and above-ground cabling installations

- Control panel wiring and fault diagnosis experience

- Working at Heights, Confined Space, Gas Testing, LV Rescue and CPR certifications

- Knowledge of mechanical systems and pumps
