Fixed term contract: 24 months
About the role
Reporting into a senior engineering and manufacturing leader, you’ll coordinate the introduction and transfer of new and existing products into manufacturing, from initial assessment and planning through trials, first manufacture and stable operational handover.
Sitting between product development and the factory, you’ll work across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Supply and other technical functions to ensure products, processes and operations are aligned before manufacture.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate new product introductions, product transfers and manufacturing-readiness activities.
- Drive cross functional project plans, actions, timelines and accountability.
- Facilitate stage gate reviews and ensure risks or readiness gaps are identified early.
- Coordinate manufacturing trials, first batches and post-launch stabilisation.
- Work with technical and operational teams to assess manufacturability and production capability.
- Track transfer performance and support structured problem solving and CI initiatives.
- Build effective relationships across technical, quality and manufacturing teams and influence without direct authority.
Ideal Candidate
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
- Experience across NPI, product/technology transfer, process engineering, manufacturing readiness or project engineering.
- Exposure to regulated or quality driven manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, scale up, validation, change control and/or risk management.
- CI capability across Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies would be advantageous.
- Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, adaptable and comfortable working across both technical teams and the manufacturing floor to bring people together and drive outcomes.
