About the role
Reporting to the General Manager and Accounting Team Leader, the successful applicant will service our business client base via the provision of a blend of basic tax and accounting functions:
- preparation of non-complex tax returns
- preparation of basic financial accounts
- bookkeeping and data-entry
The successful applicant will support our accounting team in not only meeting statutory deadlines but creating a client experience that exceeds expectations.
Previous Experience
Tax Return preparation experience:
- individuals (strong)
- partnerships & sole traders (competent)
- companies & trusts (minimal → developing)
Strong accounting skills around:
- preparation of EOY workpapers
- reconciliation of ATO accounts
Strong bookkeeping experience:
- BAS / IAS / TPAR
- data entry
- working across a wide range of bookkeeping software solutions
- ability to coach and advise clients on bookkeeping and software options
Tertiary Qualifications
Minimum - completed a Diploma in Accounting
Preferred - progress toward completing a Degree in Accounting
Optional Hours
We are seeking a minimum 30hrs per week part-time, but for the right applicant, would consider a full-time placement.
