Trade Qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic | Clermont Based

Capricorn Bulk Haulage specialises in the haulage of Coal, Magnetite and providing specialist services to the Mining Sector. We're growing our maintenance team and looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join us on a permanent basis, working across a diverse fleet of heavy mobile plant and transport equipment in the Bowen Basin.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for keeping our fleet running safely and reliably, including:

- Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing

- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults

- Breakdown repairs and fault finding

- Heavy vehicle and trailer repairs

- Heavy mobile plant maintenance

- Reading and interpreting technical manuals

- Completing service and maintenance documentation

- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

What you'll work on:

Experience with the following equipment will be highly regarded:

- Trucks: Kenworths, Macks, Volvos etc

- Earth moving equipment: loaders, graders, diggers etc





- Light vehicles

- Trailers and dolly's

- Crushing and screening plants

- Other heavy mobile plant and transport equipment

You don't need experience with everything listed above. If you're a good diesel mechanic with strong diagnostic skills and the right attitude, we'd like to hear from you.

What we're looking for:

- Trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

- Heavy vehicle, mining or mobile plant experience highly regarded

- Current driver's licence

- Strong safety focus

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Reliable attitude and pride in your workmanship
