Manager – Care (QLD)

The Opportunity

As the Manager - Care QLD, you will provide leadership in clinical practice and safe care, lead team development and enhance the quality of care delivered in RA's Brisbane and Gold Coast villages.

Our Support at Home team provides tailored care and support to our residents across our communities in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Our villages throughout Tarragindi, Mount Warren Park, Cleveland, Wellington Point, Burleigh and Yeronga are home to our residents, all of which offer a sense of community and unique lifestyle.

Working closely with and reporting to the Manager - Care, Community, you will lead, support and guide a dedicated team of clinical and non-clinical team members to deliver the highest standard of person-centered care to residents living independently in retirement villages. You will be supported by a National Care Manager and a Clinical and Care Governance Manager.

This is not a hybrid role - you will be working at least 3 days per week at our Brisbane villages and at least 1 day per week at the Gold Coast

What You'll Bring

Professionally you will bring:

- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Leadership experiences within Support at Home or Home Care Packages Program advantageous
- Strong clinical and compliance knowledge with the Aged Care Act and Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards
- Experience leading, coaching, mentoring and developing teams
- The ability to problem solve and navigate complex situations with confidence and professionalism Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and exercise strong clinical judgement




- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a community-based environment

Personally, you are known for:

- Building trust and genuine relationships including across teams - RA has a 'one team' approach
- Leading with empathy, compassion and respect
- Remaining calm and solutions focused when challenges arise
- Supporting and developing those around you
- Seeing the resident as opposed to the diagnosis

Additional requirements:

- Drivers Licence and Reliable Transport.
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain).
- Prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
