GRNSW promotes the exciting racing aspect of the industry, as well as equally important, the welfare management and rehoming of our athletes.

About the role:

We are recruiting Kennel Attendants to work with our greyhounds at our Wyee facility. We are seeking part-time staff for a six-month period. Flexibility is essential, with weekend work required on a rotating roster and occasional event attendance.

In this role, you’ll work hands-on with our greyhounds to support their daily care, enrichment, wellbeing and preparation for pet life. You’ll also be part of the team assisting with meet and greets for potential adoptees and foster carers, helping Greyhounds and their forever home.

Key Responsibilities:

- Daily animal husbandry including enrichment, exercise, grooming cleaning, and upkeep of kennels and facility
- Feeding and preparing food for greyhounds
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
- Various other duties including vet trips and transportation
- Represent GRNSW and GAP at a number of annual promotional and adoption events across NSW.
- Contribute positively to a supportive team culture.

- Experience and confidence in handling dogs
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and wellbeing
- A proactive attitude and willingness to jump in and support the team
- A full driver's license is required and experience driving a trailer/van is preferred
- Qualification in animal care are desirable
- Knowledge of canine behaviour is highly regarded
- Flexibility to work weekends, outside usual business hours and a willingness to travel when needed.
