About The Chance
As a Storeperson / Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting our warehouse and battery production operations. This hands-on position is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials across our hybrid and EV production lines, maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing battery components for production, and contributing to the ongoing success of our operations.
Working closely with our production, engineering and operations teams, you'll help deliver high-quality battery solutions while contributing to a safer, more efficient and sustainable future.
What You’ll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for supporting warehouse and production activities, including:
- Receiving,
inspecting and dispatching incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Coordinating material put-away, inventory control and picking activities to support production schedules
- Preparing hybrid battery kits and maintaining production stock levels
- Disassembling, cleaning and preparing hybrid battery components for remanufacturing
- Assisting with the production of key battery products to ensure inventory targets are achieved
- Supporting warehouse organisation and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Assisting with production planning, documentation, work instructions and equipment maintenance activities
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised warehouse and production environment
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in being organised, reliable and safety focused. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in warehousing, stores, production, manufacturing, automotive or similar environments
- A current Forklift Licence, with reach truck experience highly regarded
- Experience with inventory management, picking and packing, or warehouse operations
- Confidence using power tools and general workshop equipment
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to support different areas of the business
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- A commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
- Experience working with hybrid or EV batteries, automotive production or technical assembly will be highly regarded, not essential
- A diploma, trade qualification or similar technical qualification is advantageous but not essential
