We are currently recruiting for an Evaluation Engineer on a contract through to July 2027, with the potential for extension, supporting a well-established automotive organisation at the forefront of vehicle development and innovation.

What you'll contribute to

As an Evaluation Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the evaluation, development and validation of vehicles and accessories. Working within a highly skilled engineering team, you will contribute to testing programs, technical investigations and product development activities that help ensure vehicles meet quality, performance, durability and customer expectations.

How you'll make an impact

- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of vehicle development processes and evaluation procedures to achieve project objectives.

- Assist in the development and assessment of vehicle systems, components and accessories to ensure quality, performance and regulatory requirements are met.

- Plan, coordinate and conduct local and interstate vehicle testing activities, collecting meaningful and reliable data to validate performance and durability targets.

- Analyse test results and research findings, converting complex technical information into clear, standardised reports for key stakeholders.

- Investigate and support the resolution of vehicle-related concerns through engineering analysis, testing and validation activities.

- Prepare vehicles, accessories and testing equipment for evaluation programs while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.





- Produce accurate research data, technical findings and recommendations to support informed business decisions.

- Contribute to project planning, reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities through the maintenance of accurate reporting systems.

- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations, safety requirements and organisational standards.

- Degree qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related discipline).

- Experience within automotive, manufacturing, product development or a related engineering workplace.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate technical issues and identify practical solutions.

- Excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.

- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite.

- An interest in vehicle systems, automotive technologies and product development methodologies.

- Knowledge or experience in vehicle evaluation, testing, validation or development activities will be highly regarded.

- Understanding of automotive systems, components and technical terminology is advantageous.

- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities.

- Flexibility to travel interstate for testing and evaluation programs when required.
