About the role

You'll take ownership of the Queensland market, with the backing of an established national business, existing client relationships, strong delivery capability and a specialist network across the security-cleared community. Your primary focus will be developing a significant technology contracting business across Queensland State Government, while also growing Shield's presence across Defence, National Security, critical infrastructure and consulting.

Key responsibilities

- Building relationships across Queensland Government departments and agencies

- Developing and growing a substantial technology contractor portfolio

- Winning new clients and expanding existing national relationships into Queensland

- Building relationships with technology leaders, program directors, procurement teams and senior hiring managers

- Growing Shield's presence across Defence and security-cleared organisations in Queensland

- Recruiting across Cyber Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, Data, Engineering, Project & Program Delivery and PMO

- Identifying major programs and upcoming workforce requirements before they reach market

- Building and eventually leading a Queensland recruitment team

About you

- An established network across Queensland State Government

- Strong technology contracting experience

- A track record of building and managing a successful contractor book

- Experience developing new business and opening accounts





- Strong relationships across government, technology or professional services

- A commercial mindset and the confidence to engage senior decision-makers

- The ambition to build a business, not simply manage a recruitment desk

- Defence or security-cleared recruitment experience would be highly regarded, but it isn't essential
