We currently have an exciting opportunity for a CHPP Coordinator at our Narrabri Coal Operations conveniently located a short 60 minute drive from Gunnedah. Gunnedah is a great regional town with abundant walking trails, fishing, water sports, and various cafes and restaurants. The region is rich in history with museums and Australian wildlife.
About The Role
Reporting to the CHPP Superintendent, The CHPP Electrical Coordinator is a key role within the CHPP Management Team. You will support the Narrabri Coal Operations by coordinating the CHPP Electrical function, managing budget availability and costs, and maintaining the NCO management systems and plans.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare plans for the completion of Electrical tasks to maintain compliance of the CHPP Electrical scheduled work orders
- Maintain NCO change management and introduction to site policies
- Maintain an equipment life cycle program that ensures the scheduled maintenance, component change outs, planned shutdowns, spare parts and tooling are adequate and available to maintain budget availability and tonnes
- Participate in monthly cost reviews with the CHPP Superintendent and CHPP management team to monitor previous and forward month spending and take required action to keep costs within budget
- Provide input into electrical engineering for the development of work scopes for shutdowns, overhauls and technical specifications for the purchase of recent equipment
What You’ll Bring
- Electrical Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent) essential. Additional post-trade qualifications, diploma, advanced diploma, or bachelor's degree highly desirable.
- Process plant maintenance experience desirable
- Strong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement culture

- Experience in the Mining industry desirable
