About the role
You'll work across the full quality lifecycle in a hands-on role where you'll play an important part in ensuring Emesent's products, components and customer orders meet high quality standards before they reach the customer.
Key responsibilities
Inspect incoming components and materials against drawings, specifications and engineering requirements
Perform in-process quality inspections during assembly and sub-assembly builds
Complete final QC inspections on new-build Hovermap payloads, RMA products and accessories
Verify product functionality, workmanship, cosmetic condition and completeness
Perform packing and shipping verification against customer orders and system records
Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) for current or changed suppliers
Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), particularly relating to supplied parts
Support Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and Recent Product Introduction (NPI) activities
Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance records for QC and production equipment
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics to resolve quality issues
About you
3+ years' experience in quality control, inspection or QC coordination, ideally within manufacturing, electronics or technology production
Experience with incoming, in-process and outgoing quality inspection
Experience with shipping/packing verification
Competence using inspection equipment such as callipers, micrometers and multimeters
Understanding of AQL sampling concepts
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
Experience with NCRs and corrective action processes
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented procedures
Good communication skills and confidence working across technical and operational teams
Experience using digital workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence or SharePoint
